KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- It’s another unique Kalamazoo Christmas event that has become a local tradition. Last night Borgess Hospital flipped the switch on their “Tree of Love”.
The annual event is a fundraiser that helps cover the cost of breast cancer screening for indigent women.
Kimberly Loftus says the event is in its 27th year, and in that time it’s raised hundreds of thousands for the cause, and saved a number of lives.
For $10 you can honor a cancer victim or cancer survivor with an ornament on the tree that you get to keep.
