KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo County Board has completed the appointment of a new County Fair board, wrapping up a controversial and emotional process with the selection of two at-large board members last evening.
After interviewing candidates the board picked former Kalamazoo City Commissioner Zadie Jackson and Lame duck County Commissioner Robert Bernard.
Last month they picked 7 members from the Agricultural society, 4-H and the Livestock Association. Only two former board members were retained.
Their unenviable task is to turn around the financially struggling Kalamazoo County Fair, and make it a more attractive event for the community.
