WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Congressman Justin Amash of Grand Rapids has found out what happens when you break party unity. The Republican lawmaker is off the House Budget Committee according to a report by CQ Roll Call, with the news outlet saying it's because Amash voted against the budget plan from Congressman Paul Ryan.
Roll Call reports Amash wanted to cut spending faster than Ryan's budget, and voted against it along with a resolution that would have funded the government through March, 2013.
