KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Protestors appeared at Fred Upton’s office and at congressional offices all over the state and nation as progressive groups clled for a day of action on Saturday.
Spokesperson Linda Teeter says their aim was not only impress the congressman, but get out the message about what would happen to most families if the country goes off the financial cliff at the end of the year. Their taxes could go up over $2000 a year.
She says Republican Upton needs to step forward and be one of those Congressmen who compromise.
Time is running out on the issue, which must be settled in the few legislative days left before Congress takes their holiday break.
There were also weekend protests at the Congressional Field offices for Dave Camp and Tim Walberg.
