BANGOR (WKZO) -- An escaped mental patient who walked away from a foster care home and broke into a woman’s home in the 34-thousand block of CR 687 in Bangor Township, is sitting in jail this weekend, charged with home invasion.
The 35-year-old man had walked away from the foster home earlier in the day, and forced his way into the victim’s home. She retreated to her bedroom, locked the door and called the Sheriff’s Department.
By the time they arrived, the suspect had moved on, but didn’t take anything. He was discovered in a wooded area about a half-mile from the home and tried to elude officers but was quickly rounded up.
