KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The family of murder victim Robert Medema is thanking public safety and the Kalamazoo Community for helping to capture the two suspects in his killing. They are scheduled for formal arraignment sometime early this week, perhaps today.

Detectives say Antonio Livingston and John Aguilar knew Medema and went to his house intending to rob him. It was citizen tips that helped crack the case.

His brother and sister in law, Roger and Mary Medema issued the thank you, saying: “We have been truly blessed by the heartfelt expressions of sympathy and the many stories you have shared on how this extremely special, gentle and generous man has impacted all of our lives”. Funeral services were Friday.
