The Pretty Little Liars star admits she felt under pressure to maintain a slim physique when she was younger and would often skip meals to keep her weight down.

In an interview with America's Cosmopolitan magazine, she says, ""I've never really talked about this, but I would go days without eating. Or maybe I'd have some fruit and then go to the gym for three hours.

""I knew I had a problem… It was a gradual process but I changed myself.""

Hale, 23, is now happy and healthy after overcoming her personal problems, but she isn't the first celebrity to struggle with an eating disorder - fellow star Demi Lovato suffered similar food issues and checked into rehab in 2010 to address the health crisis.
