DETROIT (WKZO) -- Michigan drivers may see a bit of relief at the gas pump soon. While prices remained the the third highest in the this week, things appear to be stabilizing. An Enbridge Energy oil pipeline in Wisconsin has been closed, as well as breakdowns have been addressed at refineries in Illinois and Indiana.
Late last month Governor Snyder declared a state-of-energy emergency in the state because of limited availability and the temporary shortages of gas and diesel fuel in areas of the Upper Peninsula. The declaration suspends state and federal regulations relating to hours-of-service for motor carriers and drivers transporting gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel.
