SAUGATUCK TOWNSHIP (WHTC) - A proposed residential resort development on 320 acres of land owned by billionaire developer Aubrey McClendon in Saugatuck Township is expected to be unveiled Friday. Singapore Dunes LLC is expected to announce details of the project on a new website, to be known as singaporedunes-dot-com. As of Friday morning, the only message on the site were “Singapore Dunes…Coming Soon.” Earlier this summer, a federal judge in Kalamazoo approved a settlement agreement between McClendon and Saugatuck Township that clears the way for McClendon to move ahead with the project, including seeking variances for a seven-story inn. Also proposed are up to 100 homes on the site, a 66-slip marina and nine-hole golf course.
