AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- For the 28th consecutive month, Chrysler has posted a year over year sales increase. The automaker says July sales were up by 13-percent compared to the same period in 2011.
Chrysler officials say two models set sales records for the month. The Chrysler 200 sedan and the Dodge Journey crossover were up by 43-percent and 68-percent respectively.
Overall sales for the Chrysler brand were 35-percent higher, Dodge was up by six-percent, Jeep sales were seven percent higher and RAM truck sales jumped 15-percent. Fiat sales rose 22-percent in July.
