LANSING (WKZO) -- The U.S. Senate campaign of Republican candidate Clark Durant is touting new poll numbers showing the race is getting tighter a week away from the primary.

The poll shows support for former Congressman Pete Hoekstra has fallen from 75-percent on July 14th to 39-percent as of July 30th.  At the same time, Durant's support has gone from eight-percent to 23-percent in the same two-week period.

The winner of the GOP primary on Tuesday will face incumbent Senator Debbie Stabenow in November.
