CHICAGO (1660 THE FAN) – AJ Burnett pitched a complete game Tuesday, and came five outs away from a no-hitter in the Pirates 5-0 win.

In contrast, Casey Coleman was chased in the fifth inning after giving up four earned run on seven hits and four walks. Coleman struck out five in a surprise start following the Ryan Dempster trade to Texas just as the trade deadline came to a close. Three Cubs' relievers gave up a run, a walk, and a hit while striking out six out of the bullpen.

Adrian Cardenas spoiled AJ’s no-no bid in the eighth inning, lining a 93 mph sinker into right field.

With the series tied at a game apiece, the final game is tomorrow afternoon at 2:20 pm.
