STURGIS (WKZO) -- Four people may face charges in Sturgis after they cooked up a couple of batches of Methamphetamine inside a room at the Country Hearth Inn. Police were notified Saturday when other guests of the motel began complaining about the chemical odor coming from Room 34. The occupants may have been used to it and not aware of the smell.
Police obtained a warrant and found two inactive ‘one-pot’ meth cooks and other evidence of meth manufacture. As they were investigating, three others showed up in a car and fled. They were pulled over and more paraphernalia and meth lab components were found in their car. Sturgis Police also seized several weapons. The four face meth possession, manufacture and gun charges.
