DETROIT, MI (WKZO) -- The Detroit Tigers have announced that they are releasing former 3rd baseman and utility player Brandon Inge. Brad Eldred has been called up to replace Inge on the Tigers roster. The roster move was announced following the Tigers 5-4 series ending loss to the Seattle Mariners Thursday afternoon.
Eldred has been crushing the ball at AAA Toledo accounting for a .388 average, 13 homeruns, nine doubles and 38 RBI's in 20 games this season.
