GALEBURG (WKZO) --  Galesburg Police are investigating the drowning of a toddler who fell into an in-ground pool behind a home in the 100 block of East Beckwith Drive Sunday evening shortly after 6pm.  

Apparently there was one parent home at the time.   It’s not clear how long the young girl was in the pool before she was pulled out and CPR begun. 

Reportedly they could not revive her but continued CPR as she was rushed to Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.   

Few other details, including the little girl's name, have been released.
