ROTHSCHILD, Wis (WSAU) The Rothschild Village Board voted not to fund Metro-Ride bus service in 2012. The deadline for deciding on funding is October 1st. Last night's vote would save the village about $51,000.

The village will notify Metro-Ride today. Their letter will say the funding issue may be revisited later in the budget process if additional money is available.

Weston is also dropping bus service next year because of high cost and low usage.

Metro-Ride is considering other cutbacks, including less service on some routes, no 6am service, and no Saturday service.
