PAW PAW (WKZO) -- A sport fisherman has drowned in a Van Buren County Lake.
State Police say they aren’t exactly sure how 67-year-old Edward Lindsey of Illinois died on Eagle Lake near Paw Paw in Van Buren County.
He went out fishing early Sunday Morning as he often did near his summer home.
About 7AM, a local couple spotted his boat overturned near the lake access, and rescue crews would find his body in the water, his life preserver around his neck.
Michigan State Police say they don’t know if he slipped and fell, had a medical condition or suffered some other mishap, but they will investigate.
