AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- As contract talks continue between Chrysler and the UAW, Chrysler head Sergio Marchionne says his deal will not be exactly like the tentative agreement reached over the weekend between the union and General Motors.
In the Detroit News Marchionne is quoted saying, "We and GM are two completely different entities with two different heritages. We were born in 2009 with eight-billion in debt; they had 50-billion-dollars in equity." Over the weekend the UAW and General Motors reached a tentative deal that is slated to be voted upon within about ten days.
