2nd Quarter:

After several failed drives the Lions have taken a 14-3 lead on a 36-yard-touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to former Western Michigan Broncos Tight End Tony Scheffler.

Several costly penalties appeared to keep the Lions out of the end zone but they have struck again with a 51-yard-field-goal off the reliable leg of Jason Hanson.  1:07 now remains in the 1st half.

Jason Hanson kicked his second field goal of the game with 2 seconds remamining in the 1st half to take advantage of a Matt Cassel interception.  The Lions head into halftime leading 20-3.

3rd Quarter:

The Lions are beginning to open a large lead on the Chiefs following a 1-yard-touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson.  The Touchdown pass is the 3rd of the day for Stafford and 2nd catch for Johnson.  Johnson had dropped the 1-yard pass on 3rd down before making the catch to extend the Lions lead.

As the Chiefs were attempting to make a comeback the Lions Kyle Vanden Bosch sacked Quarterback Matt Cassel.  The sack caused a fumble which was recovered by Stephen Tulloch at the Chiefs 26-yard-line.

The Lions are pulling away after Matthew Stafford fired his 4th touchdown pass of the day.  This time Stafford found Jahvid Best cutting to the left before diving into the left side of the end zone.  The touchdown gives the Lions a 34-3 lead over the Chiefs early in the 4th quarter.

4th Quarter:

Lions Running Back Jahvid Best leaps over the defensive line to give the Lions a 41-3 lead.  The rout is on at Ford Field.  This type of a route hasn't been seen at Ford Field since the Lions 2007 drubbing of the Denver Broncos.

The Lions went for it up 41-3 on the 1-yard-line.  The score makes it 48-3.
