CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO) -- A fatal high-speed collision that may have involved a hit and run driver on I-94 is being investigated by Calhoun County Deputies.
Police believe a 48-year-old man from Vancouver, Washington suddenly went out of control in the westbound lane, shot across the median and hit an eastbound vehicle driven by a man from St. Clair Shores. That second driver was taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition. The Vancouver man was killed.
Deputies believe one of the vehicles may have also been struck by a third vehicle, possibly a semi that did not stick around.
They are looking for any witnesses to the crash, which happened on I-94 near 26 Mile Road at 9:50 Sunday night.
