ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO) -- Some bad luck, or bad Karma for a Pullman man named James Justice who allegedly robbed a home just as the father of the homeowner drove by.  He spotted the stranger, checked with his son by phone and learned no one was supposed to be there, and then confronted the burglar, who sped off in his SUV. Dad took off after him, calling 9-1-1 by cell phone, bringing a number of squad cars to the chase from all directions.   The suspect tried to escape through a blueberry field and crashed into a tree, abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

Allegan County Deputies set up a perimeter with help from other police agencies.  The man was arrested when he made the mistake of approaching an unmarked state police car.  Deputies recovered stolen guns and electronics in the SUV and returned them to the owner.   The 37-year-old justice has been charged with home invasion and gun counts.
