PAW PAW (WKZO) -- A west Michigan man showed up for a Van Buren County work release program this weekend, apparently right after he attended a Bachelor party, and officials say he tested legally drunk.
That was an immediate violation of the work release rules, and they also arrested him for drunk driving, second offense.
The man apparently drove all the way from Grand Rapids to Paw Paw under the influence. He was scheduled to see a judge Monday morning to determine if he will stay in the work release program or do jail time instead on the original larceny charge that got him in trouble in the first place.
