SCHOOLCRAFT TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- A Schoolcraft Township man who was already wanted on domestic violence warrants was expected to face new charges Tuesday after an extended stand off with Kalamazoo County deputies.
The 30-year-old barricaded himself in a home on 18th Street between U and V Avenues with a gun and four hostages around 5:20 Monday morning.
He eventually let the hostages go, and after several more hours of negotiation failed to get him to surrender, a special tactical unit stormed the home through a cloud of tear gas and took the man into custody.
