The stars' steps came out on top in the poll, carried out by LoveFilm in celebration of the release of dance movie remake Footloose later this month (Oct11).

John Travolta and Uma Thurman's moves in 1994's Pulp Fiction wiggled their way into second place, while Gene Kelly's iconic dance scene in Singin' in the Rain made a splash at number three.

Other dances to make the top five in the poll include Jon Heder's comedy routine in Napolean Dynamite, and Travolta made another entry at number five for his Saturday Night Fever routines.
