BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) - A Battle Creek man has been formally charged with fleeing and eluding, drug possession and resisting arrest after a high speed chase early Thursday morning that tore thru several Portage neighborhoods at speeds of 60-MPH before turning onto I-94 and concluding with a crash at the Portage Road exit.   

Thirty-six-year-old Anthony Sorentino was the driver and he has been slapped with the most serious charges.  Officers say they found meth in his possession after the crash and a short foot chase.

Prosecutors have decided not to charge either of the two Portage residents, a man and a woman, who were also on board the pickup.
