Officer, Two Suspects Killed in Bank Robbery Chase

WALKER (WKZO) -- An officer from the Walker Police Department has died and two bank robbery suspects have also been killed by police Thursday.Officer Trevor Slot was placing stop strips on I-96 when the suspects hit and killed him.  After the suspects came to a stop, they started to fire on other officers, who returned fire and killed both.  Their names have not been released.The suspects led officers on a chase from Ravenna in Muskegon County into Kent County where the officer was killed and they also lost their lives.  Slot is the first officer from the Walker Police Department ever killed in the line of duty and the fifth in the state this year to die.
