Michigan will be out to justify its return to Top-Ten status when the Wolverines invade East Lansing Saturday to take on in-state rival Michigan State. The host Spartans, who were idle this past weekend, have won their last three meetings against Michigan.
The Wolverines, who beat Northwestern 42-to-24 Saturday night in Evanston in their first road game of the season, improved to 6-and-0 and moved up from 11th to 10th place in the USA Today-Coaches poll.
MSU, which is 4-and-1, also moved up in the Coaches poll from 20th to 19th place. In the Associated Press rankings, Michigan is 11th while Michigan State moved back into the Top-25 at 23rd place.
