KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Kalamazoo version of the protest that has shadowed Wall Street for the past three weeks may be coming to a park near you.
A loose knit collaboration between labor groups, students, activist groups and locals activists who have been protesting here since Viet Nam met in Bronson Park Thursday afternoon to get organized under the “Occupy Kalamazoo” banner.
It only took a Facebook notice for well over 100 to gather in the park to make plans.
They are protesting a lot of different things, but generally their dissatisfaction with Congress, Wall Street and the economy. They set regular organizational meetings and have scheduled their first ‘Occupy Kalamazoo’ protest for next Wednesday from 11AM to 2PM in Bronson Park.
