KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A weekend later this month will be a good one for anyone planning on starting a new business in Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo officials are planning a “Start-Up Weekend," giving people with ideas for new businesses 54 hours of access to local government and financial and business officials to try to go from idea to launch.
It's only for that 54-hour period - from Friday, October 21 to Sunday, October 23.
It would be Kalamazoo's second “Start-up Weekend," but other communities have been holding them since 2007 to encourage young entrepreneurs to turn their concept into a business.
