AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Chrysler is reporting a increase in September sales of 27-percent compared to last year.

Sales of the Chrysler 300 sedan and the Dodge Durango were credited for the improvement.  Sales of the 300 were up by 50-percent while Durango sales jumped by 47-percent.

The automaker also reported an over 100-percent increase in sales of the Jeep Compass compared to September of last year.  Chrysler reported sales of over 127-thousand vehicles last month.
