DALLAS, TX (WKZO) -- The 3-0 Detroit Lions are in Dallas to take on the Cowboys for the 4th game of the season today.  WKZO is live blogging the game within this article.  Kickoff is at 1pm.

1st Quarter:

Jahvid Best had a strong run but the play is all for not as a Matthew Stafford pass was throw behind Calvin Johnson and intercepted by Geraldn Sensabaugh.

The Cowboys capitalized on the Lions turnover with a 25-yard-touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Dez Bryant.  The Cowboys now lead the Lions 7-0 with 9:28 remaining in the 1st quarter.

The Lions defense just came up HUGE stopping the Cowboys Felix Jones on 4th down and 1 from the 1-yard-line of the Lions.  The Lions will take over possession on their own 1-yard-line.

2nd Quarter:

The Lions defensive struggles continue as Tony Romo picks apart the defense before hitting Dez Bryant on a 6-yard-touchdown pass.

The Cowboys Dan Bailey makes it 17-0 after kicking a 41-yard field goal.  If the Lions don't get their offense going soon it looks like a route is in order.

Lions are continuing to struggle to find Calvin Johnson and it showed on their trip inside the Cowboys 30-yard-line.  3 incomplete passes lead the Lions to a Jason Hanson field goal to make it 17-3 Cowboys.

Halftime:

For the second straight week the Detroit Lions are in a major hole.  Dez Bryant, Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have carved the Lions defense while the Lions offense has continued to struggle to gain any momentum.  The Cowboys will receive the ball to begin the 2nd half.

3rd Quarter:

Exactly what the Lions didn't need has happened.  The Cowboys drove right down the field on their first possession of the 2nd half before scoring on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Jason Witten.  The Lions now trail the Cowboys 27-3.

Bobby Carpenter just returned a nice run to the end zone for a touchdown following an interception.  The touchdown brings the Lions to within 27-10 with 10:12 to remain in the 2nd half.

Tony Romo threw his 2nd interception of the game to Chris Houston and the Lion returned it for a touchdown.  The touchdown pulls the Lions to within 27-17 with 5:34 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

The Lions were hit with a hands to the face personal foul penalty against Suh which allowed the Cowboys to hit a field goal to extend their lead to 30-17.

4th Quarter:

Matthew Stafford just hit Calvin Johnson on a leaping grab over 2 defenders in the end zone to bring the Lions to within 30-24 of the Dallas Cowboys.

Penalties killed the Lions on the previous possession but they were able to secure a 51-yard field goal by Jason Hanson.  The Cowboys still lead 30-27 in the 4th quarter.

Calvin Johnson makes leaping catch to give the Lions a 34-30 lead with 1:39 remaining in the 4th quarter against the Cowboys.

The Lions stopped the Dallas Cowboys on 4th down and 20 to secure a 4-0 start for the first time since 1980 after a 34-30 win.
