KALAMAZOO--  Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller plans to take $80,000 from cell phone 9-1-1 equipment fees to help off set the cost of paying dispatchers, as he squeezes pennies to balance his budget.

It is one way he plans to cover a $750,000 cut in his revenues for next year. 

Another way may be moving out of the dispatch center at Public Safety headquarters unless local governments get serious in the next year about consolidated dispatch. Fuller believes consolidating dispatch should save him money. 

Right now the co-location arrangement they have is just costing his department money.
