Last night, Hollywood's favorite country crooners were honored for all of their hard work and dedication to the music industry at the 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville. It was a night of celebration, especially for Taylor Swift, who received her second Entertainer of the Year award. Swift originally won the award in 2009 and is now tied with Barbara Mandrell for being the only two women in the history of the show to be honored more than once. And given the fact that Swift has already sold more than 20 million albums at the young age of 21, she could easily end up breaking that record in only a few years time.
Upon receiving the trophy, the singer expressed her joy in a backstage interview, saying, ""To win it twice is like the coolest thing ever happening to me twice! I'm freaking out right now."" Later on that night she excitedly tweeted, Headed home feeling so grateful and happy and just... Thank you. To the fans who have made this year so wonderful, I just adore you."" Congrats T-Swift -- it's well deserved! Check out a clip of Swift receiving the award below:
Other big winners of the night included: Miranda Lambert, who won Female Vocalist of the year; her husband Blake Shelton, captured Male Vocalist of the year; and The Band Perry, received the Best New Artist honors. For a full list of the winners, click here.
