KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo Holiday Parade went off without a hitch in Downtown Kalamazoo this morning. The parade which was the 50th edition of the parade featured floats from Jaqua Realtors, McDonalds Towing, Ballet Arts Ensemble, Calvary Bible Church, Kalamazoo Girls on the Run, Kalamazoo in Bloom, Kalamazoo Habitat for Humanity, Kalsee Credit Union, St. Joseph Co. Voiture and the WMU College of Education.
The streets of Downtown Kalamazoo were packed throughout the parade route as families enjoyed Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and other balloons being featured along the route. The parade was streamed LIVE on wkzo.com as 590, 96.5 WKZO hosts Lori Moore and Richard Piet were featured. The parade is also the launch of the Consumers Energy Merry Michigan section of wkzo.com.
Beginning Saturday with the parade and running through Christmas the Consumers Energy Merry Michigan section will feature a listing of holiday themed events, videos, the best holiday recipes from Pioneer Sugar and some great ideas for toys in the state of Michigan and beyond.
