STURGIS (WKZO) --They were speeding - in more ways than one.

Two men in a rolling meth lab were pulled over by Sturgis police early Thursday morning, exceeding the speed limit on Hatch.  The officer recognized the passenger, who gave him a false name.  That  triggered a search of the car, the discovery of meth components in the back seat and and in the trunk, along with the remains of five completed meth cooks.

A computer search turned up an active felony warrant on the passenger, a 25-year-old from Sturgis.  They found a lot of meth in the pocket of the 20-year-old driver from Three Rivers.

Both were hauled off to jail.
