BATTLE CREEK -- The Blue Angels were scheduled to headline in Battle Creek on the 4th of July, but that may be in jeopardy.
They were booked to return to the Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival in Battle Creek in about a month. The Commander of the Navy’s flight demonstration team was forced to resign this week after they flew closer to the ground than allowed at an air show in Virginia.
The team has taken and ‘indefinite safety stand down” and gone back to Florida for more training. They have definitely cancelled shows over the next two weekends in Illinois and Indiana.
After that, their schedule remains up in the air.
