KALAMAZOO -- Kalamazoo Mayor Bobby Hopewell was in attendance as Downtown Kalamazoo Incorporated, Tower Pinkster and Phoenix Properties announced a proposed 8-story, 24-million-dollar development at the corner of Michigan and Rose.  Hopewell said "people are struggling, im a guy who wants to live downtown".  

The development will feature retail on the 1st floor, residential space on the higher floors, a bank and several other options across the street from the Radisson Plaza Hotel and next to the Comerica Building.  Video with Mayor Hopewell is above.  Just select the 2nd photo in the top right.
