PORTAGE -- Portage Police responded to a call about an unconscious woman at the intersection of Shuring and Sandy Ridge around 8 p.m. Thursday. They found a 20-year-old woman from Portage that was apparently experiencing some sort of medical emergency and had lost consciousness.
They took her to Bronson Hospital in critical condition. It appears so far that whatever was the cause of the emergency wasn't a traffic collision or anything suspicious. It's being investigated.
