The Star Trek actor berated Corden onstage at the Glamour Awards in London last June (10), scolding the host for giving the audience an unsightly view of his bulging stomach.
He snapped, ""From where I was sitting, I could see your belly,"" before Corden attempted to provoke the actor by lifting his shirt to show the crowd his bloated waist, adding, ""Okay, can we get a taxi really quickly please. There's an old man going home.''
Stewart has since apologised for the incident, admitting he was ""out of control"" and blaming alcohol for his remarks.
And now the pair has made amends by filming a sketch to be shown at the Comedy Gala at the British capital's O2 Arena next week (beg23May11).
In the clip, Corden criticises Stewart for commenting on his belly, before the veteran star apologises and starts begging for forgiveness.
A source tells Britain's The Sun, ""Patrick felt awful about the ugliness last year. He had had a drink, his new girlfriend was there and he just got carried away. He'd been thinking about how he could make amends and a comic sketch came up as the only option. And it is brilliant. Mutual respect has been restored.""
