The Tigers scored six runs in the fourth inning to wipe out a two to nothing deficit and went on to beat the Blue Jays 10-to-5 last night at Toronto.
It was Detroit’s third straight victory over the Blue Jays and allowed the Tigers to take the 4-game series 3-games-to-1. Victor Martinez went 3-for-4 and homered for Detroit while Austin Jackson had four RBI’s to help Max Scherzer run his record to 6-and-0 on the year. The victory allowed the Tigers to return to a .500 record at 18-and-18.
Tonight,Detroitopens a brief 2-game series atMinnesota. The White Sox have won 3 straight for the first time this season with last night’s 8-to-0 victory over the Angels atAnaheim. The Cubs had the day off.
