The Red Wings need to start playing harder and better and cash in on their scoring opportunities if they don’t want their season come to an end tonight at Joe Louis Arena.
Detroit trails San Jose 3-games-to-0 in their Western Conference semi-final series. The Sharks have out-performed the Red Wings while their seven playoff wins over Detroit in the past two seasons have all been by one goal. If Detroit stays alive tonight, Game Five will be Sunday night in San Jose.
In last night’s only game, Western Conference top seed Vancouver beat Nashville 4-to-2, giving the Canucks a 3-games-to-1 lead in that series.
In the ECHL last night, the Kalamazoo Wings lost 5-to-3 at Wheeling, giving the Nailers a 2-games-to-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Game Four is tomorrow night in Wheeling.
