History isn’t on the Red Wings side following their 2-to-1 loss to the Sharks yesterday afternoon in San Jose. The Sharks now lead the Western Conference semi-finals series 2-games-to-nothing and Detroit has dropped six of its last seven series when going into a 2-to-nothing hole.

Jimmy Howard was again strong for the Red Wings, stopping 35 shots, but he’ll need some help when the series resumes with game 3 on Wednesday night in Detroit.  Henrik Zetterberg had the lone goal for the Red Wings.
