LANSING, Mich (WLMI)  The Michigan State Police plan to close 21-posts across the state as part of a 21-million dollar cost-cutting plan.  No mid-Michigan posts are affected and the agency says there will be NO trooper layoffs as a result of the closings.  The changes would take effect at the start of Michigan’s next budget year in October.  Troopers at affected posts would be deployed throughout the state.
