COLDWATER (WTVB) - State Police say a Coldwater man who repeatedly failed to comply with Michigan’s sex offender registration laws for more than 3 years was finally tracked down early Friday morning. Acting on a tip, troopers on the midnight patrol went to Bronson, where along with city police arrested 22-year old Anthony White. He also was the subject of an outstanding warrant from the Coldwater Police Department for failure to change his address.
Authorities say White had been absconding from the Sex Offender Registry since 2008 and ten times failed to comply with reporting duties, which are required four times a year. White was arraigned yesterday in Branch County District Court on three counts with bond set five thousand dollars-ten percent allowed. He’s due back in court for a preliminary exam on March 25th.
