(Detroit, MI) -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan raked in 222 million dollars in revenue in 2010. Yesterday, the non-profit insurer reported that its bottom line was helped by good returns on investments and efforts to control administrative costs. Blue Cross actually lost 168 million dollars in its insurance business, with heavy losses coming in policies that supplement Medicare. Last year's profit was slightly below 2009's profit of 233 million dollars.
