DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Customers are scooping up the revamped Ford Explorer.  Ford Motor Company has already sold more Explorers this year than they did in all of 2010.  The automaker overhauled the SUV as a car-based crossover with a smoother ride and better fuel economy.  Last year, Ford sold just more than 60-thousand Explorers, and so far this year sales have reached 64-thousand.  The automaker says the vehicle averages just eleven days on dealer lots before being purchased.
