LANSING, MI (Metro Source) - Police agencies along the Lakeshore and around Michigan are gearing up for the annual drunk driving crackdown on the July 4th holiday weekend and beyond. Officials with the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning said the stepped-up enforcement will start July 1st and run through the 10th. The state will also be airing TV and radio ads for the "Drunk Driving: Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaign featuring how a DUI follows a convicted drunk driver around.
