WOLF LAKE, MI (WKZO) -- A Van Buren county couple face charges in two counties after they let their methamphetamine habits get the best of them. They were spotted piling shoplifted meth making materials from the Menards on West Main in Kalamazoo County, into their 1978 Orange Pinto and fleeing west on M-43 last evening at about 9:30.
Police caught up with them as they were entering the Wolf Lake mobile home park where they found a number of stolen items in the car. A search of their trailer turned up more materials, a working meth lab, and the debris from a number of previous meth cooks.
The 41-year-old male and 37-year-old female are husband and wife. They are expected to face drug charges in Van Buren County and retail fraud charges in Kalamazoo County.
