KALAMAZOO COUNTY (WKZO) -- A 10-year-old boy riding his bicycle was struck by a Kalamazoo County Sheriff's deputy's cruiser Tuesday, but it could have been a lot worse.
The deputy was westbound on East ML Ave. when the boy pedaled right into the path of the cruiser. The deputy hit the breaks and veered to the right, blunting the impact when the two collided.
The boy was not injured.
The child went home safe to his family and the deputy went back to work.
