PORTAGE (WKZO) -- Portage Police say they've had a report of a white male around 40 years of age approaching a 14-year-old girl and asking if she wanted a ride in his pick up truck.  They say it happened around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Angling Road just north of West Centre.

The man drove off when the girl declined, but he came back a short while later, getting out of the vehicle and asking again if the girl wanted a ride.  She said she'd call the cops if he didn't leave her alone and he took off.

He's described as a white male around 40 years of age with a tan and scruffy facial hair who was wearing a dirty baseball cap and driving a newer black pick up.  They ask that anyone with information on the case contact Portage Police.
